CROSS-CULTURAL WRITING: A BORDERLESS JOURNEY
18 AUGUST, 1:30-3:00PM
11 GARDEN PLACE
Rosetta Allan writes her latest novel The Unreliable People through the perspective of a third-generation Koryo-Saram from Kazakhstan: a person of Korean descent but no longer identifies as Korean, nor Russian, nor Kazakh. Rosetta is a multi-generational New Zealand Pakeha, so how has the story of an ethnic minority group in a foreign land found its way into her work? This event is in partnership with Waikato Writers and Associated Artists (local branch of NZ Society of Authors).
